I started with Usborne Books At Home in April 2004 and haven't looked back - it's the best job to fit around family! My earnings have exceeded my wildest dreams - can you think of any other job where your pay can double in a year if you're prepared to put in the effort?!

After trying four other home-based businesses I was beginning to give up hope of finding one that actually paid a living wage! Amway, Oriflame, Forever Living and one I'm too embarrassed to mention - what convinced me Usborne may be the one was the product; quite simply the books are yummy! At the risk of sounding clichéd, you don't sell Usborne books, they sell themselves! With a couple of events under my belt it became clear to me that everybody loves Usborne and when I started to recruit it became even clearer I could make a living doing this. One of the most rewarding parts of this job is helping others succeed - I get such a buzz when one of my Team phones, full of excitement over their latest recruit, sale, school success or whatever, there really is no better feeling! And the bonus cheques just keep growing - I'm now earning more than my other half!

Great support from my recruiter, Kate, my partner, Ian and my two lovely boys, but most of all the company, means my business goes from strength to strength. There is always something to aim for and Gill and I won the Travel Incentive to Cape Town in April, 2007 - a week staying in a five star hotel and an overnight safari! Fantastic! I also won Monte Carlo in 2008 and with a Top Ten finish I stayed for an extra day in Peter Usborne's private villa in Grasse - WOW!!!! But Iceland to see the Northern Lights has to be my personal favourite - been on my to do list for donkeys - absolutely amazing!!

When I started I could only dream about winning the incentives, but with self belief it really is possible to have the most rewarding job in the world!
